How to get into Heavy lift vessels (engine side)

I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I have done my Graduate Marine Engineering course.

I am competent to join any merchant ship having completed all the necessary certifications. I want to know how can I join companies like Dockwise and others which deal in heavy lift operations.

Do I need to undergo some courses for that apart from GME.

Please guide me as I don't have the necessary sources to tell me about joining 'heavy lift vessels'.

Please also suggest any web links with that information.

Dear Karan,

No. Initially you dont need any additional qualification on joining such vessels or company as you will be in trainee position. But as much I know, it is very difficult to find job as trainee in such ships as they are specialized. Try to work on normal vessel, offshore vessel...then shift . Best of luck

I am actually sponsored from a company and hopefully I will board a ship in 3-4 months from now.
so after coming from training period and clearing my 4th exams can I try for these offshore options.
