Checks for Marine Transformer?

All the ships are fitted with transformers. What are the important checks as an ETO or EOW should one do?

Hi! mohit : Routine Inspection It is to check a state in which transformer is operating. Inspection items are as follows.
-Record load condition (Voltage, Current, kW, etc.)
-Record temperature and humidity
-Check for abnormal noise, smell and evidence of overheating.

As an ETO you would also do Megger tests according to your planned maintenance schedule to check the condition of the electrical insulation on your windings.
